In South Africa and across the world of Rugbytots, we believe our impact should stretch beyond the rugby field.
Every week, children across South Africa run, jump, pass, kick, laugh, and grow in confidence through our Rugbytots classes. But through our partnership with Greenpop, every new booking now helps create an impact that goes even further.
We are proud to support Greenpop’s mission to restore ecosystems and plant trees across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Helping Plant Trees Through Every New Booking
For every new child who joins Rugbytots, we contribute towards Greenpop’s ongoing tree-planting projects.
It’s a simple idea with a powerful purpose:
More children playing. More families involved. More trees planted.
According to our latest Greenpop certificate, Rugbytots South Africa has now helped plant:

62 trees in total!
Rugbytots South Africa is also recognised as a supporting partner of Greenpop. Greenpop has already planted over 250,000 trees through urban greening and forest restoration projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Why This Matters
Rugbytots has always been about more than rugby.
Our classes help children build confidence, coordination, listening skills, friendships, and a love for being active. We use rugby as the vehicle, but the real outcome is child development.
Now, through Greenpop, every new Rugbytot also helps contribute to environmental restoration.
It means that when a family joins Rugbytots, they are not only investing in their child’s development. They are also helping support a greener future.
A Small Start. A Bigger Goal.
Our current total of 62 trees represents roughly a tenth to a fifth of a rugby field, depending on tree spacing.
That may not be a full pitch yet, but it is a proud start.
And like anything worthwhile, it grows one small step at a time.
